Abstract:
Withtheaidof non-linearfiniteelementsoftwareMSC. Superform,three-dimensionalfiniteelementof hot drawing process of pierced shell with spiral wall thickness unevenness was simulated, and the characteristics of transverse wall thickness distribution of finished tube under different wall thickness reduction and friction coefficient were analyzed. The results show that large wall reduction is beneficial to eliminate the spiral wall thickness unevenness of pierced shell in hot drawing process, but it leads to head making failed or necking easily. By reducing the interfacial friction, the appearance of head making failure or necking can be avoided, while the unevenness of the wall thickness is intensified in a way.
