Abstract:
When the electrostatic precipitator works in the environment of high specific resistance dust content, charged dust releases charge slowly and it is easy to produce the anti-corona phenomenon, which seriously reduces the dust removal efficiency. A new type of high-voltage pulse power for electrostatic precipitators, which consists of superposition of DC and high-voltage pulse, was proposed. Based on the modeling of high voltage pulse circuit, the principle of suppressing an-corona was analyzed and the new high-voltage pulse power circuit was simulated with MATLAB, and the feasibility of superposition of high voltage pulse on DC was verified. Finally, the dust removal test with the high-voltage pulse power prototype was performed in a steel plant, the result shows that the efficiency of dust precipitating is optimal at the pulse voltage magnitude of 48 kV and the frequency of 200 Hz,it can be up to 98.75%. Compared with the traditional electrostatic precipitators, the high-voltage pulse power prototype has a higher efficiency of dust precipitating.
