Abstract:
Aiming at the problem that the traditional video encryption methods cannot guarantee compatibility, a selective hybrid encryption algorithm based on high efficiency video coding (HEVC) was proposed. Considering the high compression ratio of HEVC, the complexity of advanced encryption standard (AES) and Triple data encryption standard (DESede), the YUV video frame data read in the HEVC encoder was selected as the encryption object, and
Y component was encrypted with 128 bit advanced encryption standard encryption algorithm,
U and
V components were encrypted with 112 bit DESede algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed hybrid encryption reduces the peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) of video by 18 dB on average, and has good perceptual encryption. It can play unclassified video normally, its compatibility and security can be guaranteed at the same time.
