Research on Vibration Suppression of Series Hot Strip Mill Based on Dynamic Rolling

  • In order to suppress the vibration of the multi-stand hot continuous rolling system, the 1 580 mm double-stand hot continuous rolling mill was taken as the research object, and its structure was improved by adding cross beams between stands in series with adjacent mills F1 and F2. According to the actual structure and rolling parameters of F1 and F2 rolling mills, a simplified dynamic model of double-stand hot continuous rolling system was established by using the lumped mass method and adding rolling pieces and tension rolls. In ANSYS, the rolling mill of roll system was constructed with mass and spring elements, and the frame and beam were built with beam elements. The finite element models of the double-stand hot continuous rolling system before and after series connection were established to analyze the influence of the added beam on the vibration characteristics of the roll system, and it was verified by comparison with the field measured data. The results show that the vertical vibration signal of F1 and F2 work rolls has little change after the adjacent frames are connected in series, while the peak value of horizontal vibration signal decreases by 25.59% and 23.65% respectively, and the corresponding root mean square decreases by 37.97% and 15.98% respectively. The horizontal vibration of the work roll system is suppressed to a certain extent, which can improve the stability of the rolling mill during the rolling process. The simulation results are basically consistent with the measured data, which proves the feasibility of the vibration suppression scheme for the tandem hot rolling mill.
