Analysis of Influencing Factor of Torsion During Small-size H-beam Rough Rolling Process

  • Aiming at the problem of torsion deformation during the rough rolling of small H-beams, taking the rough rolling process parameters of small H-beam in a steel company as a reference, the Marc/superform finite element software was used to simulate the rough rolling stage, and to analyze causes of the torsional deformation of the rolled piece and the influence of technological factors on the torsional deformation of the rolled piece. The results show that the improper installation of the rolls or the skew of incoming will cause the torsion of the rolled pieces during the rough rolling of small H-beam. Reducing the side wall slope of the pass has a significant effect on restraining the twist of the rolled piece. Enlarging the fillet at the bottom of the groove can increase the contact area between flange and the fillet, which plays a certain role in limiting the torsion of the rolled piece. In this paper, the larger the reduction ratio of V2 and V5 in the pass system, the more serious the torsion of the rolled piece will be. Controlling the reduction ratio of the vertical pass within the range of 1.1−1.5 is more conducive to improving the rolling stability.
