Study on Vitrinite Properties of Different Rank Coking Coals

Properties of the vitrinites of macerals separated from four different rank coals by density centrifugation method were analyzed, and properties of the cokes made from the raw coals and vitrinites by the poilt coke oven test were analyzed and compared.The results show that, the order of inert-tolerant capacity of vitrinites is Dongdou > Xiaoyi > Lengquan > Guanqiao; Compared with the cokes made from the raw coals and vitrinites, the OTIs of cokes made from vitrinites are higher than those from the raw coals, but the micro-strength, the structural strength and reactivity of coke made from vitrinites are lower than those made from the raw coals.
