Three Dimensional Modeling and Simulation of Low Specific Speed Centrifugal Pump

  • A three-dimensional model of the centrifugal pump was built with Unigraphics NX software. Based on Reynolds averaged equations and standard k-ε turbulence model, the entire system's flow field was simulated by the CFX software, and the flow field static pressure and velocity distribution were obtained. The results show that flow speed and pressure in the impeller and volute are imparity, and the quantity is related with their posiiton, the flow speed in each aisle is obviously affected by cut water. The simulation value of the centrifugal pump matches with that of actual one, which verifies that the three-dimensional model of the centrifugal pump process is reliable.
