Preparation and Gas Sensing Properties of ZnO Porousmaterials Using Carbon Nanospheres as Pore Former

  • ZnO porousmaterials were synthesized with carbon nanospheres as pore former, which were prepared from glucose by hydrothermal method. The synthesized ZnO porousmaterials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), and N2 adsorption-desorption, respectively. The gas-sensing properties of ZnO porousmaterials were investigated. The experimental results show when ZnO porousmaterials are prepared by doping with 50 m L of carbon nanospheres, the highest sensitivity is obtained under the optimal conditions. The response reaches 393.8 when the volume fraction of acetic acid is 1 000 × 10-6 at the operating temperature of 310 ℃ with the relative humidity(RH) of 50%, which is 63.6 times as high as that of pure ZnO porousmaterials.
