Abstract
Calcified roasting experiments were performed by taking converter vanadium slag as raw material. The effect of particle size of vanadium slag on the vanadium leaching rate from the calcified roasting slag was investigated, and the effect of particle size of vanadium slag on non-isothermal oxidation process of vanadium slag roasting was studied with thermogravimetric analysis method. The results show that the optimum particle size of vanadium slag material is 48-75 μm with a vanadium leaching rate of 84%, at the same time, vanadium spinel phase has been completely oxidized and decomposed. In the non-isothermal oxidation process, when the particle size of vanadium slag decreases from 120-250 μm to 48-75 μm, the oxidation process of calcified roasting of vanadium slag changes from the diffusion control to the chemical reaction control.
