Evaluation of Comprehensive Competitiveness of Cities in the Yangtze River Delta Based on Entropy Method

  • Based on the formation mechanism of urban competitiveness and the research results at home and abroad, this paper constructs an evaluation index system of urban comprehensive competitiveness, and uses entropy method and cluster analysis method to evaluate and classify the comprehensive competitiveness of 26 cities in the Yangtze River Delta. The results show that the regional imbalance of urban development in the Yangtze River Delta region is relatively obvious. As the core of the Yangtze River Delta city, Shanghai has the strongest competitiveness. Its neighboring cities and three sub-central cities have the second highest competitiveness, and the relatively weak competitiveness is the latter. Several cities in the triangle; location advantages have a greater impact on urban development in the Yangtze River Delta region, and cities with good regional advantages are more likely to receive the role of radiation in the central city, thus having stronger competitiveness; resource and environmental competitiveness is the city The preconditions for the formation of comprehensive competitiveness, comprehensive economic competitiveness is the core embodiment of the city's comprehensive competitiveness, while science and technology and education competitiveness are the source of sustainable competitiveness of the city; coordinate the use of internal and external resources of the city, and strengthen the guidance of science and technology. Cities with weak urban comprehensive competitiveness are particularly important.
