Research on Vibration and Noise Reduction Characteristics of Metro Resilient Wheel

  • The acoustic model of resilient wheel was established based on finite element acoustic software of Simcenter 3D. Vibration response and acoustic radiation of metro solid wheel and resilient wheel were calculated in the frequency range of 20-6 400 Hz. Vibration and noise reduction characteristics of resilient wheel were analysis. The acoustic radiation of resilient wheel and solid wheel were tested in laboratory, and the results are compared with the finite element calculation results. Results show that vibration reduction of resilient wheel plate is up to 94.9%. The resilient wheel can reduce the noise above 170 dB. The resilient wheel can suppress the rolling noise of 1 section circle with frequency band greater than 2 000 Hz and high frequency curve noise with frequency greater than 2 600 Hz. The errors between the finit element calculation results and the test results under radial and axial excitation are about 11.9% and 1.3% respectively,and the results are in good agreement.
