Effect of Process Factor on the Fluidized Reduction Brazilian Iron Ore Powder under Atmospheric Pressure

  • Taking Brazilian iron ore powder as the main research object, the single variable method was used to study the influence of reduction temperature, linear velocity, reduction time and particle size on the flow reduction of Brazilian iron ore powder with metallization rate and bonding ratio as evaluation indexes, and the best reduction scheme of iron ore powder was determined. The surface morphology of reduced iron ore powder was characterized by scanning electron microscope to analyze the bonding mechanism of iron ore powder. The results show that the optimal operating parameters for reducing Brazilian iron ore powder are reduction temperature 1 023 K, linear velocity 0.6 m/s, reduction time 50 min, particle size range0.15,0.18) mm. The main reason of iron ore powder bonding is that the generated iron whiskers are interlinked, which leads to particle agglomeration and loss of flow.
